We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced materials supervisor to join our team in Jefferson, OH. The position reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for the monitoring the daily material flow of the facility including inbound material and production of material ensuring uninterrupted material delivery and continuous production.

•Supervise, motivate and lead all functions relating to production of parts and receipt of material to ensure customer demands are being met.
•Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, develop and train team members to enhance the department.
•Establish and maintain business practices, procedures and documentation that ensure control of supplier releases, incoming material shipments, inventory levels, and production plans.
•Maintain production planning, inventory levels, safety stock and various key data fields that drive master planning are up to date in ERP system.
•Manage and monitor the activities of subordinates accuracy and integrity of all material activities.
•Responsible for maintaining, monitoring and reacting to customer delivery ratings.
•Must be a self-starter able to work without close supervision, understanding what needs to be done, and taking the required actions.
•Attain a level of product/commodity knowledge and to attain a level of awareness of supplier operations as they pertain to the company.
•Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.
•Comply with all ISO/TS 16949 & ISO-14001 procedures and work instructions related to your job description.
•Performs all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within TMD, Inc.
•Responsible for inventory accuracy by monitoring and maintaining in-bound inventory from suppliers to support established inventory policies for buffer calculations, safety stock and material needed to support production.
•Responsible for maintaining and communicating an accurate forecast to suppliers at the latest revision level required.
•Monitor, track and trace all inbound shipments from suppliers.
•Perform root cause inventory analysis for inventory discrepancies for components and manufacturing items.
•Lead system record integrity through cycle count, root cause analysis and development of corrective actions.
•Support program and part balance out ensuring engineering changes are incorporated timely and bank builds are in place per the agreed to effectivity of change.
•Ensure changes are captured in systems to properly reflect latest Bills of Material for ordering of component parts and ensure adequate purchase orders and contracts are at latest level.
•Effectively supports and understands the plant build schedule, BOM verification, buffer calculations, change control and supplier material ordering.
•Use established processes, procedures, tools and reports to complete duties.
•Maintain positive relationship with suppliers.
•Participate in plant physical inventory as required.
•Ensure customer requirements are received, analyzed and processed as expected from all sources including customer systems.
•Analyze current production schedule to assess current production status (behind schedule, increases, move ahead runs, etc.).
•Responsible for accurately and timely responding to on-line customer’s supply chain systems.
•Prepare and print daily load sheets, analyzing inventory and ensuring material is ready to ship to support customer requirements.
•Responsible for maintaining, monitoring and reacting to customer delivery ratings.
•Ensure master changes are captured in systems to properly reflect adequate Bills of Material for ordering of component parts and production of WIP and end items. Support Balance out planning and coordination.
•Responsible for inventory accuracy on all parts by posting service production, performing cycle counts and performs root cause inventory analysis for discrepancies.
•Effectively communicate schedules to production floor to ensure customer requirements or inventory levels are met.
•Monitor, track and trace all inbound shipments from suppliers.

Qualifications:
•Supervisory skills to coach and develop all levels of the department to achieve goals.
•Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provides for individual growth.
•Ability to identify urgent or emerging problems, develop alternative corrective actions and engage appropriate colleagues in the timely implementation of corrective actions.
•Strong analytical & mathematical skills.
•Knowledge of automotive processes (EDI, PPAP, etc.).
•Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provides for individual growth.
•Good verbal and written communication skills.
•Understanding of manufacturing processes and bills of material.
•Experience with MRP and scheduling systems (MAPICS a plus).
•Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Skills:
•Five (5) yeas or more experience in a complex Tier 1 or Tier 1 Automotive OEM parts production facility.
•Supervisory experience
•Knowledge of Future 3/MAPICS or similar systems
•Inventory control experience including cycle counting.
