CNC Mill Operator

We have an immediate opening for an experienced 3 axis CNC Mill operator to work 2nd shift running a work cell of four machines at our Toledo, OH location.

The CNC (computer numerically controlled) Mill Operator produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Production Supervisor

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced production supervisor to join our team.

The Production Supervisor will work directly with the production employees, maintenance / tool & die set personnel and the management team to ensure the successful production of the customer’s part per the customer’s requirements. The supervisor will interface with the hourly workforce to develop a team atmosphere while insuring that company policies, procedures and regulations are consistently upheld.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in the establishing capital needs, developing project timing, reviewing employees’ performance, employee involvement and appropriate communications relating to employee concerns.

Responsibilites:

  • Support and enforce with consistency the plant safety process and rules, and Toledo Molding & Die policies and procedures. Administer corrective action when necessary.
  • Provide leadership and direction to production employees by actively working with and effectively communicating to ensure quality product.
  • Maintain production requirements while minimizing scrap levels.
  • Efficient manpower utilization – both direct and indirect.
  • Develop process improvements through employee involvement and support all plant continuous improvement efforts as assigned.
  • Ensure that all products are manufactured in accordance to customer specifications and approved processes.
  • Participate in and support the ISO 14000 and TS16949 systems.
  • Effective and diligent employee training/development
  • Accurate and timely completion of all shift paperwork and reports
  • Issue process improvements and cost reductions as required
  • Support root cause analysis and proper resolution to conflict.
  • When required, be able to report in review meetings manufacturing results with supportive details and corrective action plans outlined.
  • Challenge traditional boundaries and eliminate barriers which do not promote continuous improvement of the enterprise.
  • Assure that production schedules are met. Act with a high sense of urgency, in particular with respect to customer needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Ensure strict compliance with plant housekeeping standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School degree required, some college a plus.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Maintenance Technician

We have an opening for a Maintenance Technician at its Bowling Green, Ohio facility.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:
•5+ years of manufacturing and facilities maintenance, preferably in automotive parts manufacturing and/or blow molding required
•Must have basic experience in programming/troubleshooting A-B PLC controlled systems
•Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repair in the following areas: electrical/electronic systems, and pneumatics
•Strong background in hydraulic systems repair/troubleshooting is required
•Must be able to work afternoon shift (3 p.m. – 11 p.m.)

Process Technician

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced injection molding process technician to join our team in Beloit, Wisconsin. Toledo Molding and Die will be supplying the Fiat-Chrysler assembly Plant in Belvidere, Illinois.

Responsibilities for process technician:

The Process Technician will be responsible for providing technical support for all aspects of production. Responsibility for new products begins with the first production build via customer production releases.

The primary responsibilities will be to troubleshoot injection molding process and make adjustments to the process to increase overall quality and productivity goals as established thereby obtaining optimum productivity and quality levels while complying with customer specifications.

In addition, the Process Technician will assist in achieving product target cost; improve efficiency, identifying possible production problems for existing products. Monitor the input and output variables of the process, including advanced product inspection, optimizing product and process quality consistent with the company’s Total Quality Systems, procedures and customer requirements.

Job Functions for process technician:

  • Support and enforce with consistency the plant safety process and rules, local labor agreement and Toledo Molding & Die policies and procedures.
  • Provide support for all pre-production builds requiring components and/or services from the manufacturing site.
  • Assist with training of both technical and production in processing standards.
  • Ensure that all products are manufactured in accordance with customer specifications and approved processes.

  • Achieve project expectation and requirements for all elements of PPAP, TS16949 and ISO 14000.

  • Troubleshoot injection molding process and correct where deviant. Adjust closed-loop process control systems where applicable.

  • Enhance the process to increase cycle efficiency, press performance, tool performance, operator performance, and material performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues with secondary equipment (post molding assembly)
  • Provide technical instructions to maintain part stability.
  • Provide detailed and structured documentation of process corrections and enhancements as required and/or assigned.
  • Measure outputs and evaluate process control and capability.
  • Troubleshoot out of control conditions, machine deficiencies and product non-conformities.
  • Responsible for new mold start up, sampling, process trouble shooting, optimizing cycles and set-ups as well as performing molding and machine safety checks.
  • Assist with mold/color changes.
  • Develop process improvements through employee involvement and support all plant continuous improvement efforts as assigned.
  • As required provide leadership and direction to production employees by actively working with and effectively communicating to ensure quality product.
  • Function as a Team Member of the Shift Technical Team, supporting processing and quality needs in a Lean Environment Actively participate in and support the implementation and maintenance of the company’s documented quality system as appropriate.

Maintenance Supervisor

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team.

The position reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of workers engaged in repair and / or maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems.

Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities:

  • Directs and coordinates activities of maintenance department and outside contractors.
  • Schedules repair, maintenance, pm, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Participates in the new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with engineers.
  • Responsible for RFQ’s, requisitions of services, tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance operations.
  • Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
  • Confers with production, engineering, safety, and quality personnel to resolve maintenance problems within their departments.
  • Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
  • Responsible for hazmat log and the compliance with TMD environmental policies.
  • Review all documents and procedures/policies annually owned by Maintenance Manager.
  • Provide technical support and coaching for efficient troubleshooting/ root cause problem solving activities and maintenance repair to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime.
  • Ensure that appropriate inventory levels for standard replacement parts are maintained.
  • Responsible for ensuring all safety policies/ practices are followed within the department.
  • Responsible for ensuring all documentation is completed for repairs, modifications, pm’s and predictive activities.
  • Responsible for identifying training needs for direct reports.

Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in related field or related Technical program
  • 7-10 years related experience and / or training
  • Strong mechanical understanding of machinery and plant operations.

Maintenance Technician

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of manufacturing and facilities maintenance,* preferably in automotive parts but not required
  • Must have basic and hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repair in the following areas:
    • electrical/electronic systems

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs

Process Technician

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced process technician to join our team in Jefferson, OH.

Process Technician Primary Responsibilities:

  • Startup presses for the purpose of producing parts from the blow molding machines / Uses setup sheets provided / pre our standard process
  • Shut down blow molding machines per our standard process
  • Reads job specifications to determine safety requirements and process requirements
  • Sets up work cells as documented in the work instructions provided
  • Monitor scrap at the press throughout the shift
  • Uses sample parts provided for reference as needed
  • Troubleshoots process issues as needed
  • Performs mold changes per schedule
  • SMED improvements ideas
  • Enter data into Mattec as needed
  • Must be able to work 3rd shift

Process Technician Qualifications:

  • Provides technical support for an assigned process or product in the Molding department
  • Clear understanding of the blow molding process
  • Previous processing experience or on the job training for processing
  • Logical thinker, problem resolving abilities
  • Willingness to communicate and answer questions from management and hourly associates.
  • 1-3 Years of blow molding experience is desired.

Material Planning & Logistics Analyst

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Material Planning & Logistics Analyst to join our team.

The position is responsible for the daily material handling functions for the department ensuring uninterrupted flow of end items, components, and inventory as it pertains to shipping & receiving.

Responsibilities of the Material Planning & Logistics Analyst:

  • Prepare and print daily load sheets, analyzing inventory and ensuring material is ready to ship to support customer requirements.
  • Responsible for accurately and timely responding to on-line customer’s supply chain systems.
  • Responsible for maintaining, monitoring and reacting to customer delivery ratings.
  • Lead record integrity through cycle count, root cause analysis and development of corrective actions for WIP and end items.
  • Monitor all miscellaneous shipping paperwork.
  • Responsible for unloading trucks, accepting deliveries, unpacking containers and ensuring material is delivered to location as needed.
  • Interface with external supply partners & customers to manage and reconcile all issues related to shipping and receiving.
  • Ensure each part and packaging type has a location and is properly labeled.
  • Responsible for ensuring warehouse is organized and orderly on a daily basis.
  • Ensure packing lists for incoming material are checked for accurate information including part counts, purchase order and pertinent information.
  • Participate in plant physical inventory as required.
  • Must be a self-starter able to work without close supervision, understanding what needs to be done, and taking the required actions.
  • Perform root cause inventory analysis for inventory discrepancies for components and manufacturing items.
  • Effectively supports and understands the plant build schedule, BOM verification, buffer calculations, change control and supplier material ordering.
  • Attain a level of product/commodity knowledge and to attain a level of awareness of supplier operations as they pertain to the company.
  • Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.
  • Comply with all ISO/TS 16949 & ISO-14001 procedures and work instructions related to job description.
  • Perform all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within TMD, Inc.

Qualifications for the Material Planning & Logistics Analyst:

  • Knowledge of automotive processes (EDI, PPAP, etc.).

Maintenance Technician

TMD is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for our Delphos, OH plant. Individual responsibilities include general repair and preventative maintenance on plastic injection molding presses, as well as auxiliary equipment.

Maintenance technicians qualifications:

  • previous experience with changing injection molding tools, plastics processing, electrical wiring including 240 and 480 volt, pneumatics, hydraulics and programmable logic controllers.
  • possess vocational or technical certification in Mechanical/Industrial areas.
  • good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work within a diverse group as a Team Player.
  • must be willing to work the afternoon or midnight shifts.
