Maintenance Technician

TMD has a new injection molding plant in Beloit, Wisconsin. We have an excellent opportunity for experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our team.

Maintenance Technicians Requirements:

  • 3+ years of manufacturing and facilities maintenance , preferably in automotive parts manufacturing and/or blow molding required
  • Must have basic experience in programming/troubleshooting A-B PLC controlled systems and hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repair in the following areas: electrical/electronic systems, and pneumatics
  • Strong background in hydraulic systems repair/troubleshooting is required
  • must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift

Production Supervisor

TMD is looking for a Production Supervisor at our Bowling Green, OH location.

The Production Supervisor will work directly with the production employees, maintenance and the management team to ensure the successful production of the customer’s part per the customer’s requirements. The supervisor will interface with the hourly workforce to develop a team atmosphere while insuring that company policies, procedures and regulations are consistently upheld.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in the establishing capital needs, developing project timing, reviewing employees’ performance, employee involvement and appropriate communications relating to employee concerns.

Production Supervisor Job Functions:

  • Support and enforce with consistency the plant safety process and rules, and Toledo Molding & Die policies and procedures. Administer corrective action when necessary.
  • Provide leadership and direction to production employees by actively working with and effectively communicating to ensure quality product.
  • Maintain production requirements while minimizing scrap levels.
  • Efficient manpower utilization – both direct and indirect.
  • Develop process improvements through employee involvement and support all plant continuous improvement efforts as assigned.
  • Ensure that all products are manufactured in accordance to customer specifications and approved processes.
  • Participate in and support the ISO 14000 and TS16949 systems.
  • Effective and diligent employee training/development.
  • Accurate and timely completion of all shift paperwork and reports.
  • Issue process improvements and cost reductions as required.
  • Support root cause analysis and proper resolution to conflict.
  • When required, be able to report in review meetings manufacturing results with supportive details and corrective action plans outlined.
  • Assure that production schedules are met. Act with a high sense of urgency, in particular with respect to customer needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Ensure strict compliance with plant housekeeping standards.
  • Maintain a plant culture that embraces the values of honesty, trust, mutual respect, employee involvement and flexibility.

Qualifications Desired:

  • High School degree required, some college a plus.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Automotive and/or blow molding experience.
  • Plastics experience preferred.
  • Open to working a 12 hour shift (7 pm. – 7 am).

Production Operators

PRODUCTION OPERATORS wanted in Delphos, Ohio.

Production Operator Responsibilities:

  • Follow written process instruction sheets.
  • Account and record production and scrap counts.
  • Operate a molding press or assembly line operation.
  • Complete auxiliary operation including but not limited to assembly and decoration work, heat staking, stapling, etc.
  • Inspect parts to meet customer quality standards.
  • Use hand tools including: knives, nippers, and torque guns.
  • Maintain production speed on or in support of assembly line/customer requirements.
  • Pack parts into boxes with accurate counts of pieces per layer/box/skid.
  • Keep and record accurate SPC and scrap records.
  • Help move equipment and part set-up during process change.
  • Maintain plant and area cleanliness.
  • Reject contaminated or damaged end item containers. Return to shipping for cleaning or repair.
  • Other supervisor directed tasks.
  • Remove and clean contaminated containers.
  • Complete required documentation as needed for job.
  • Operate bar code scanners as needed.
  • Sweep floors.
  • Clean machinery.
  • Rework, inspect, and/ or repack parts.
  • Other supervisor directed tasks.
  • Work 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary
  • Be able to work afternoon and midnight shifts
  • Full range of motion (bend, squat, reach etc.)
  • Step on and off work platforms
  • Lift, carry, push and pull up to 35 lbs.

Manufacturing Engineer

TMD has a new injection plant in Beloit, Wisconsin. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing engineer to join our team.

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for their assigned manufacturing processes and new product launch project management. Through input from the customer, corporate support groups, plant staff, and production employees the Manufacturing Engineer will review process controls, emphasize continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing methodology and Kaizen activities, participate in the development of cell layouts, set up reduction (SMED), lead time reduction and improve productivity through waste reduction. In addition the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for achieving product target cost, improved efficiency and identifying possible production problems for existing products within their scope of accountability.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be involved with helping to determine project capital needs, launch strategies, project timing, process flows, labor and machine standards as well as proposed plans for changes to the process, equipment, molds, and tooling to ensure reliability and compatibility with existing Toledo Molding and Die standards/systems.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop molding processes for new molds
  • Optimize molding processes for new and existing molds
  • Troubleshoot molding problems on the production floor, implement solutions
  • Identify molding and tooling issues and communicate findings as appropriate
  • Review mold deigns and make recommendations
  • Specify required mold revisions, coordinate execution of the repair work
  • Develop Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans for molds in conjunction with Tool & Die
  • Work with Tool & Die to identify and procure critical spare parts
  • Provide recommendations for workflow and process layout
  • Support plant safety rules, procedures, and standards
  • Interface with corporate Engineering staff as appropriate
  • Support new program launch strategies, Capital requirements, and program timing

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with hands on injection molding processing
  • Experience with and functional knowledge of injection molds, tool design, and PM requirements
  • Experience with and functional knowledge of injection presses and their operation
  • Experience with and functional knowledge of robots and associated programming
  • Experience with the automotive industry preferred but not required
  • Experience with Class A appearance parts preferred but not required

Systems Analyst

We are currently looking for an IBM System i/iSeries/AS400 Senior Analyst to work with TMD suppliers and Manufacturing Operations to establish and maintain Supplier EDI and internal manufacturing systems.

Systems Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Contact TMD suppliers to assess EDI readiness
  • Establish trading partner relationships and address book details in GXS Trusted link for System i
  • Create trading partner relationships as required on GXS VAN
  • Plan, Test, and implement ANSI X12 or EDIFACT EDI material planning schedules, shipping schedules, and shipping notifications
  • Work with supply base to resolve EDI communication and translation errors as required
  • Work with Operations to establish and maintain manufacturing systems for scheduling, materials planning, production reporting, etc.

Systems Analyst Qualifications and Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Automotive EDI, release accounting, and material planning
  • IBM i/iSeries/AS400 experience
  • Working knowledge of EDI software applications, protocols, transactions, methods, tools and business processes
  • Working knowledge of communication methods: Value Added Networks (VANs), FTP, SFTP and other communication protocols
  • GXS Trusted Link 6.02 a plus
  • GXS Visual EDI mapper a plus
  • ANSI X12 and EDIFACT experience a plus
  • Infor System 21/Aurora ERP or equivalent ERP experience
  • Infor AutoRelease experience or equivalent
  • RPG III/IV/ILE/Free and CL/CLE programming languages
  • VB.NET experience a plus
  • 5 + years’ experience in an Automotive EDI and/or manufacturing environment
  • Position could be based in Toledo, Ohio or Plymouth, Michigan

Production Operator

Toledo Molding & Die Inc. is now hiring full-time production operators at its Beloit, WI facility.

$12.00/hour to start.

Positions available for all three shifts

Previous factory experience preferred but not required

We are willing to train employees who will show up for work and are willing to learn new skills in a safe, stable work environment.

Positions require employees to stand and walk throughout the shift and carry up to 20 pounds on a repetitive basis. Must be able to read and follow written instructions and perform basic math calculations.

Maintenance Technician

TMD is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for our Delphos, OH plant. Individual responsibilities include general repair and preventative maintenance on plastic injection molding presses, as well as auxiliary equipment.

Maintenance technicians qualifications:
•previous experience with changing injection molding tools, plastics processing, electrical wiring including 240 and 480 volt, pneumatics, hydraulics and programmable logic controllers.
•possess vocational or technical certification in Mechanical/Industrial areas.
•good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work within a diverse group as a Team Player.
•must be willing to work the afternoon or midnight shifts.

Maintenance Technician

TMD has opened a new injection and blow molding plant in the Fayetteville, Tennessee. We have an excellent opportunity for experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Tennessee.

Requirements
