Material Planning & Logistics Analyst

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Material Planning & Logistics Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities of the Material Planning & Logistics Analyst:

  • Responsible for inventory accuracy by monitoring and maintaining in-bound inventory from suppliers to support established inventory policies for buffer calculations, safety stock and material needed to support production.
  • Responsible for maintaining and communicating an accurate forecast to suppliers at the latest revision level required.
  • Monitor, track and trace all inbound shipments from suppliers.
  • Perform root cause inventory analysis for inventory discrepancies for components and manufacturing items.
  • Lead system record integrity through cycle count, root cause analysis and development of corrective actions.
  • Maintain production planning, inventory levels, safety stock and various key data fields that drive master planning are up to date in ERP system.
  • Support program and part balance out ensuring engineering changes are incorporated timely and bank builds are in place per the agreed to effectivity of change.
  • Ensure changes are captured in systems to properly reflect latest Bills of Material for ordering of component parts and ensure adequate purchase orders and contracts are at latest level.
  • Effectively supports and understands the plant build schedule, BOM verification, buffer calculations, change control and supplier material ordering.
  • Use established processes, procedures, tools and reports to complete duties.
  • Maintain positive relationship with suppliers.
  • Participate in plant physical inventory as required.
  • Must be a self-starter able to work without close supervision, understanding what needs to be done, and taking the required actions.
  • Attain a level of product/commodity knowledge and to attain a level of awareness of supplier operations as they pertain to the company.
  • Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.
  • Perform all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within TMD, Inc.

Qualifications of the Material Planning & Logistics Analyst:

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that allows for individual differences and provides for individual growth.
  • Ability to identify urgent or emerging problems, develop alternative corrective actions and engage appropriate colleagues in the timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of automotive processes (EDI, PPAP, etc.).
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and bills of material.
  • Experience with MRP and scheduling systems (MAPICS a plus).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Strong analytical & mathematical skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Materials Planning & Logistics Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for experienced MP&L Manager to join our team in Beloit, Wisconsin.

The primary responsibility will be oversight of the material planning and control processes in an injection molding plant that supplies parts to the automotive industry. The MP&L Manager acts as a liaison with the customer and is responsible for the planning and delivery of product in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent TMD as the primary customer service contact to the customer
  • Work with Production to develop production plans and forecasts
  • Work with Engineering Manager on product launch, BOM and engineering change coordination
  • Work with Quality Manager to support customer satisfaction initiatives and vendor base measures
  • Work with Plant Controller/accounting staff to verify/correct inventory control problems
  • Coordinate/Supervise MP&L personnel for warehousing and production planning functions
  • Direct plant purchasing/vendor releasing functions.
  • Monitor inventory adjustments and manage cycle count program
  • Determine departmental practices and procedures
  • Approve departmental expenses, appropriation requests and participate in the budgetary process
  • Maintain “QOS” Metrics
  • Support plant safety rules
  • Complete departmental annual performance appraisals

Bachelors Degree in Business or related field

Five years of experience in an MP&L environment, strong computer skills. Any equivalent combination of education, experience or training which provides the required knowledge, abilities and skills may be considered.

Maintenance Technician

TMD is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for our Delphos, OH plant. Individual responsibilities include general repair and preventative maintenance on plastic injection molding presses, as well as auxiliary equipment.

Maintenance technicians qualifications:

  • previous experience with changing injection molding tools, plastics processing, electrical wiring including 240 and 480 volt, pneumatics, hydraulics and programmable logic controllers.
  • possess vocational or technical certification in Mechanical/Industrial areas.
  • good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work within a diverse group as a Team Player.
  • must be willing to work the afternoon or midnight shifts.

Quality Coordinator

We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities of the quality coordinator:
•Daily review of production quality performance
•Provide quality support to personnel producing parts, assist with quality standards
•Work with teams to develop process documentation, controls, and plant training needs as necessary
•Coordinate communication of non-conformances found on each shift
•Assist auditors in repair/rework instructions of suspect parts
•Monitor quality containment on non-conformances by means of effective quarantine and timely disposition

  • Qualifications of the quality coordinator:
    •Five years of experience in a similar role
    •Automotive industry experience
    •Injection Molded-in color experience
    •Plastics experience desired

    • Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift

Plant Controller

TMD has an injection and blow molding plant in Fayetteville, Tennessee. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Controller to join our team in Tennessee.

The Plant Controller is responsible for the preparation and implementation of financial guidelines for the plant. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

The primary responsibility will be to establish individual employee goals, department objective, employee development, annual performance appraisals, any long or short-term financial forecasts and activity based costing methods needed to assist in the efficient operation of the plant. The Controller will also approve all plant-wide expenses and appropriations requests.

Job Functions

  • Prepare monthly / full year forecasts
  • Prepare and review monthly financial results
  • Processing the hourly payroll
  • Processing the accounts payable
  • Direct/support department team members with goals, objectives, development requirements and annual reviews
  • Approve plant-wide expenses and appropriations requests
  • Manage and track fixed asset acquisitions
  • Establish and maintain data for monthly QOS
  • Support Corporate Policies and Procedures, along with plant safety
  • Complete month-end and year-end closings of the financial records
  • Support procedures to supply accurate numbers and reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Automotive industry experience.
  • High product launch exposure a plus.
  • Plastics experience preferred.

 

Production Operators

PRODUCTION OPERATORS wanted in Delphos, Ohio.

Production Operator Responsibilities:

  • Follow written process instruction sheets.
  • Account and record production and scrap counts.
  • Operate a molding press or assembly line operation.
  • Complete auxiliary operation including but not limited to assembly and decoration work, heat staking, stapling, etc.
  • Inspect parts to meet customer quality standards.
  • Use hand tools including: knives, nippers, and torque guns.
  • Maintain production speed on or in support of assembly line/customer requirements.
  • Pack parts into boxes with accurate counts of pieces per layer/box/skid.
  • Keep and record accurate SPC and scrap records.
  • Help move equipment and part set-up during process change.
  • Maintain plant and area cleanliness.
  • Reject contaminated or damaged end item containers. Return to shipping for cleaning or repair.
  • Other supervisor directed tasks.
  • Remove and clean contaminated containers.
  • Complete required documentation as needed for job.
  • Operate bar code scanners as needed.
  • Sweep floors.
  • Clean machinery.
  • Rework, inspect, and/ or repack parts.
  • Other supervisor directed tasks.
  • Work 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary
  • Be able to work afternoon and midnight shifts

Tool & Die Maker

We have an excellent opportunity for experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our team in Wisconsin. Toledo Molding and Die will be supplying the Fiat-Chrysler assembly Plant in Belvidere, Illinois.

The successful candidate must be capable of reading and analyzing blue prints or sketches in order to maintain/repair injection molds, design and fabricate gages, jigs and fixtures. Must be experienced in new mold startup, sampling, troubleshooting, optimizing cycles and be experienced with a wide range of molding machines (150 – 3500 ton presses). The successful candidate shall maintain an understanding of current technology as related to job responsibilities. Good communication skills are a must.

Engineering Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering manager to join our team.

The Engineering Manager will take the lead in engineering activities in the area of injection and secondary equipment, in order to obtain optimum productivity and quality levels while complying with customer specifications.

Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

The Engineering Manager is responsible for the overall development and administration of the Engineering Process. The primary responsibilities will be to establish and review process controls, emphasize continuous improvement and improve productivity through waste reduction. In addition, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for achieving product target cost, improved efficiency, identifying possible production problems for existing products.

As a part of the plant leadership team, the Engineering Manager will be involved, process flows, labor and machine standards. All proposed plans for changes to the process, equipment, molds, and tooling are to be reviewed by the Engineering Manager to ensure reliability and compatibility with existing Toledo Molding and Die standards/systems.

Finally, Engineering Manager will be required to support multiple projects and work with the plant to maintain third part registration to ISO/IATF standards.

Engineering Manager Job Functions:

  • Support product launch strategy
  • Review mold and secondary fixture design and make recommendations
  • Develop workflow, effective layout and optimize processes
  • Assist in quoting and contracting tool sources to build support tooling
  • Evaluate and implement process/product improvements
  • Work with the team to develop tooling and poke yoke methods
  • Assist with training of both technical and production in processing standards
  • Develops short and long term strategy to support customer requirements
  • Authorizes engineering change notices (deviations), process alerts, purchase orders, equipment spare parts inventory, and personnel training requests
  • Supports plant safety rules
  • Assist in daily review of production quality performance
  • Assist Production to achieve effective and efficient production of quality opportunities
  • Schedule and chair regular Quality Review meetings to Appraise Management of Quality Dept. issues to ensure suitability and effectiveness of Quality System
  • Work to develop project launch strategy, capital needs, program timing in support of all APQP, PPAP, MSA and TS-16949 requirements
  • Work with Quality Engineers and Quality Coordinators to document trends in quality, compare against customer standards and plant goals
  • Support advance Quality activities
  • Approves department expenses and appropriations requirements
  • Develop short and long term strategy to support customer requirements, as required
  • Responsibility for implementation and maintenance of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 quality systems
